Inspiration - who and why…

Yes … even artists can have people they look up to and are inspired by, it just so happens that one of the artists that I look up to has the same name as me! Freaky? Coincidence? Not at all - I just think it could be an awesome Sophie gene ;)

Sophie Tea Art @sophieteaart is someone that I feel has taken a different approach to art recently and is creating some of the most insane pieces of art imaginable. Not only does she take you on a journey from where she began but also how she plans to take on the future. She has delved into canvases, auctions, coffee table book, nudie shows, NFT’s, and is even currently having a go at glass sculptures. I love how she has no boundaries to try something, how she admits that sometimes our art has to go through its ugly stage to become beautiful and that she is not afraid to put herself out there. All of these attributes of her artistic side is something that I hope I too will flourish with, to take on the world and share my art in my way but also not afraid to let that overflow into other creative avenues. I just adore how she does it and how her team vibe with her - its honestly insane. You will not regret checking her stuff out!

But not only this, but I totally respect her as a person. The way she works I totally get it! Chaos around you with paints, brushes and canvases. Getting distracted every 30 seconds. Art shops of any kind, I can’t walk past anymore. I go in and I don’t need anything, so what do I do? I come out with things I don’t need but they are just too good to not buy, I’ll use them at some point.  Paint on you or your clothing and not understanding how it got there. Hair … everywhere so just shove it in a bun … probably got paint in it. Not great with timings … again I get distracted …

Paint, brushes and mess everywhere but completely in order too.

One day I hope to let my version of Sophie Tea Art out and let it vibe however it wants to.

Until then … watch this space! :)
